The Backstory

Quiet Reading Club was founded by two friends, Katie and Isabelle, who were both raised in Sarasota and share a love for reading in local spots surrounded by other people. Isabelle is happiest lost in a fantasy world, while Katie can usually be found unraveling a mystery. We may reach for different shelves, but we both believe reading is even better when it brings people together.

That’s why we created the book club we wanted to join: one without assigned reading, deadlines, or pretending you finished the last chapter. Just bring whatever you’re reading and settle in.

Our meetups include time to mingle, an hour of quiet reading, and plenty of space to connect afterward. We gather at local breweries, bakeries, coffee shops, and other favorite spots around Sarasota and Bradenton—the places that make our hometown feel like home.
